Grievance Cell Policy

Objective

The Grievance Cell aims to provide a fair and timely resolution mechanism for students, faculty, and staff to address their grievances.

Scope

This policy covers both academic and non-academic grievances, including issues related to harassment, discrimination, and unfair treatment.

Procedure
  1. Submission of grievance in writing (online or offline) to the Grievance Cell.
  2. Acknowledgement of grievance within 2 working days.
  3. Investigation and resolution within 15 working days.
  4. Communication of the outcome to the parties involved.
Levels of Redressal
  1. Department Level: Resolution within 7 days.
  2. College Level: Appeal within 7 days of the department’s decision.
  3. Final Appeal: To the Vice-Chancellor within 7 days of the college decision.
Confidentiality

All grievances will be handled with strict confidentiality to protect the identity and dignity of both complainants and respondents.

Protection

No form of victimization or retaliation against the complainant or witnesses will be tolerated.

Outcome

Appropriate action will be taken against the respondent if the grievance is upheld, in accordance with institutional rules and regulations.

Appeal

If any party is dissatisfied with the decision, an appeal may be made to the next level of authority as per the grievance redressal mechanism.

Review and Monitoring

The Grievance Cell policy and its functioning shall be reviewed annually to ensure effectiveness and transparency.
